Mr. Freshour graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1997 from Pellissippi State Technical Community College (PSTCC). He was a member of Tau Alpha Pi Engineering Technology National Honor Society, the student chapter of Society of Manufacturing Engineers and listed in Who's Who in American Junior Colleges in 1994. Degrees awarded: Associates of Science/MET/ Mechanical Option, Associates of Applied Science/ MET/ Manufacturing Option, and Associates of Applied Science/ MET/ Quality Assurance Option.

Mr. Freshour joined PSTCC in January 2001 as an Engineering Laboratory Technician in the Mechanical Engineering Technology department. He is a Certified Manufacturing Technologist. Bill has taught in the Mechanical Engineering Technology department as an adjunct and is currently teaching labs as part of his work schedule. He will be responsible for emergency maintenance and repairs on all equipment (CNC), manual and automated measuring and testing devices, computers and software, and maintenance equipment and tools. He will assist with development, set-up and instruction of lab sessions. Also, he will be responsible for requisitions and maintains an extensive, varied inventory of equipment, tools, measuring devices and maintenance and consumable supplies. In addition, he will support and oversee student workers and work activities.

In his free time, Mr. Freshour enjoys spending time with his family and working with children in the community. He is a member of Carter Youth Athletic Association and coaches youth football and baseball.

Prior employment included: Great Dane Trailers, Protection Service, Inc., and Truss, Inc., of Knoxville, TN.
