Blacksmithing class forges ahead
On a bright October afternoon, Brandi Cawood pulls a long metal pole out of the gas-fired forge. She places it on the anvil atop a tree stump. The ugly metal pole will eventually become a work of art, a beautiful lamp that she’ll use in her home.

VPT student named Governor’s Volunteer Star of the Year
Sean Armbruster, a Video Production Technology student, has been selected as a Governor’s Volunteer Star of the Year. Armbruster was recognized by Gov. Phil Bredesen at the first Governor’s Volunteer Stars Awards ceremony October 27.
